1. Introduction to Vintec Single Column Substation
The Vintec Single Column Substation is a static electrical device operating on the principle of electromagnetic induction, capable of changing voltage while maintaining the frequency of the AC power system. This new type of integrated substation with transformer is a station with the transformer installed on a column made of centrifugal concrete or single steel pole.
2. Applications of Single Column Substation
Integrated Single Column Substation can be used to supply medium voltage (MV) electricity to industrial sectors, residential areas, and other complex construction sites.
3. Conditions for using Single Column Substation
Compact and independent substations operate and maintain easily even on public sidewalks and industrial areas. All operations can be performed by opening the front door of the station.
4. Structure of Vintec Single Column Substation
The Vintec Single Column Substation consists of 4 components: the single column casing, medium voltage compartment, low voltage compartment, and transformer. Each component of the integrated substation contributes to efficient and durable operation.
4.1. Single column substation casing
The single column substation casing protects internal components, limits environmental impacts, and ensures user safety. Additionally, it serves as a support for the transformer above. The single column casing is made of steel plate, with a thickness of 2mm, 3mm, 5mm,… and is electrostatically painted. Standard color: RAL Size: 1400W – H2530 – D1240
4.2. Medium voltage compartment of Vintec Single Column Substation
The medium voltage compartment is similar to the RMU cabinet. It includes devices such as fuses, switches, medium voltage cutters,… The medium voltage compartment is separated from other compartments by a mid-screen. Special relays or LBS+fuse are installed to protect the medium voltage compartment.
4.3. Low voltage compartment of Vintec Single Column Substation
This compartment houses various measuring, protection, and switching devices of the transformer according to IEC 60947-2 standards. The total low voltage cabinet uses ACB/MCCB with different ratings as required.
4.4. Transformer
Unlike enclosed single-column substations the transformer of the integrated substation is placed on top of the single column with a support frame and a canopy to mitigate the impact of weather conditions and enhance safety. The transformer can be single-phase, three-phase, or amorphous core… The transformer of the integrated single-column substation also has the following characteristics: Yzn or Dyn connection type. Capacity: 160kVA, 200kVA, 250kVA, 400kVA, 560kVA, 630kVA, 750kVA, 1000kVA, Secondary voltage: 220/440V. 6. Equipment installed in single-column substations
Medium voltage RMU cabinets from ABB, Schneider, Siemens,… ABB, Schneider, Siemens, LS, Hyundai overload and short circuit protection, switching devices,… Main disconnectors, leakage protection devices, low voltage cable, grounding system and other auxiliary devices: Meters, current transformers, clocks, switches, indicators, fuses, surge protectors.. from reputable domestic and foreign manufacturers
7.Testing of single-column substations
Testing of single-column integrated substations in the manufacturing process is one of the mandatory steps and must comply with strict testing requirements of the current Electrical regulations, it is also a standard process that Vintec Group applies to all products before they are delivered to customers. The single-column substation is considered the heart of the power transmission and distribution system. Therefore, it needs to be thoroughly tested before operation. This is an essential step that cannot be overlooked because if the equipment fails or is damaged, the entire power system will be significantly affected. Vintec Group has invested in a transformer laboratory with a modern synchronized equipment system from HAEFELY, Switzerland to ensure absolute accuracy in testing.
